Bitcoin issue: Transaction dropped from the mempool
No node is holding this transaction anymore. It either never propagated, was evicted for paying below the minimum relay fee, or was removed after an RBF replacement.
Why it happens
- The fee rate was under the node's minimum relay fee (default 1 sat/vB) and every node rejected the broadcast.
- An RBF replacement with a higher fee evicted this transaction — the new one is spending the same inputs.
- The wallet broadcast to a node that was pruning or desynchronised, and no other node ever saw it.
- It sat in the mempool for more than 2 weeks without confirming (mempool expiry).
How to fix it
- Open the wallet and re-broadcast the transaction — if the inputs are still unspent it can be sent again.
- If the inputs are spent, look up the spending transaction: the funds did move, just under a different txid.
- Re-send with a fee at or above the current market rate; do not reuse the old low fee.
- If the wallet says 'already spent', your transaction was replaced — accept the replacement as the real one.
What it looks like in the wallet or explorer
txid not found on mempool.space or blockstream.info — inputs may have been re-spent by an RBF replacement
Seeing this right now? Paste the transaction hash — the tool finds the chain and decodes what actually failed.
