The token account holds a different mint than the one the instruction expects - usually a stale or wrong account was passed in.
Why it happens
- Two tokens share a similar symbol, and the interface passed the wrong mint address.
- The cached account list is out of date after a swap or a burn.
- A custom script reused an account variable for a different mint.
How to fix it
- Reload the page so the interface re-reads your token accounts.
- Double-check the mint address rather than the ticker symbol - symbols are not unique.
- In a script, derive the associated token account from the mint every time.
