TRON error: Contract reverted (REVERT) (REVERT)
The virtual machine ran the code to completion but the contract itself decided to abort — usually a TRC-20 token check: balance too low, allowance missing, transfer paused or blacklisted. Fees are still charged.
Why it happens
- A TRC-20 transfer exceeded the sender's token balance.
- The token contract blocks the address (blacklist) or is paused by the issuer.
- A swap's minimum-output check failed — the price moved past your slippage.
- The contract threw an explicit require() without a message.
How to fix it
- Refresh the token balance and rebuild the transfer with the current amount.
- Check the token on TronScan: paused, blacklisted or non-standard tokens revert by design.
- For swaps, raise slippage slightly and re-quote immediately before sending.
- Retry once — some front-ends build against a stale block, and a fresh build succeeds.
