EVM error: Insufficient funds for gas
The sending address cannot cover value plus gas at the price it set, so the node refused to accept the transaction.
Why it happens
- The wallet holds tokens but almost no native coin (ETH, BNB, POL) to pay the fee.
- The value being sent plus the fee exceeds the balance.
- A priority fee was raised after the transaction was built, pushing the total cost above the balance.
How to fix it
- Send a small amount of the native coin to the address and retry.
- Lower the amount being sent or the priority fee.
- On L2s, remember the fee is paid in ETH even when you transact in USDC.
