EVM error: Out of gas
The gas limit was consumed before the call finished, so the EVM rolled everything back — but the gas itself was still charged.
Why it happens
- The gas limit was set from a stale estimate: the pool or token state changed between quote and execution.
- The call hit a loop whose length depends on state (claiming many rewards, batch transfers).
- A contract was upgraded and its logic now costs more gas than before.
- On rollups the L1 data fee is separate — a low L2 gas limit plus a big calldata payload fails.
How to fix it
- Retry with a gas limit 30–50% above the current estimate.
- Split batch operations into smaller transactions.
- For swaps, re-quote right before submitting so the estimate matches the pool state.
- If the exact same call succeeded before, suspect a contract upgrade — check its implementation address.
